NFRA notifies 31st July to be the Last date for filling Form NFRA-1

The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) has issued a circular on 1st July 2019 regarding filing of Form NFRA-1. By this circular, 31st July 2019 is notified as the last date of filing NFRA-1 for all bodies corporate governed by NFRA Rules.

National Financial Reporting Authority Rules, 2018 (NFRA Rules, 2018) became effective from 13th November 2018. As per Rule 3 of National Financial Reporting Authority Rules, 2018:

  1. Every existing body corporate other than a company governed by NFRA rules, shall file the particulars of auditor to the Authority within thirty days of the commencement of these rules, in Form NFRA-1.
  2.  Each body corporate, other than a company formed in India and governed under this rule shall, within fifteen days of appointment of an auditor, inform the Authority in Form NFRA-1.

But the Form NFRA 1 was not available for stakeholders to file on time. So, by a previous notification dated 13th December 2018 it was clarified that NFRA-1 can be filed within 30 days from the date of deployment of the Form on the website of Ministry of Corporate Affairs/ National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA).

By this current notification it is declared on 1st July 2019 that NFRA-1 has been deployed on the website of National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) i.e. and hence, the same is required to be filed before 31st July 2019.
